The economic fabric of the Vaucluse is spread between Avignon, Carpentras, Cavaillon, Orange, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Châteaurenard, just across the Durance. Food processing, trading, industry and winegrowing sit side by side in a compact area.
It is a region where the season dictates a great deal: weeks when everything tightens at once, and others that are far quieter. A shipper from here does not face the same constraints in July as in February, and that has to be prepared for.
